Start of supply and acceptance of "carbon offset LP gas"

We are pleased to announce that Sapporo Kotsu Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroyuki Fujii, hereinafter referred to as "Sapporo Kotsu"), a member of the Hokkaido Transportation Cooperative Association Group (Chairman: Masanobu Nakagawa), the Fukoku Kosan Group (hereinafter referred to as "Fukoku Kosan"), which is centered around Fukoku Kosan Co., Ltd. (President: Michihiro Fukuoka), and ENEOS Globe Corporation (President: Toru Konishi, hereinafter referred to as "ENEOS Globe"), will begin supplying and receiving carbon offset LP gas, as detailed below.
The carbon offset LPG supplied by ENEOS Globe effectively reduces CO2 emissions to zero by offsetting the CO2 generated in the process from mining to combustion with carbon credits certified by an international NGO.
By introducing carbon offset LPG for its taxis, Sapporo Kotsu plans to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 668 tons to virtually zero. This is the first such initiative by a taxi company in Hokkaido, and it will lead the way in realizing sustainable regional transportation.
Through the supply and acceptance of carbon-offset LPG, Sapporo Kotsu, Fukoku Kosan, and ENEOS Globe will contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) "Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy" and "Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change."
